The Watersports Centre stock a huge range of kitesurfing kites, kitesurfing boards and kitesurf equipment from a variety of top brands including Ozone, Airush, Shinn, AK Durable Supply and Cabrinha. They’ve got kites from all of the listed brands to suit anyone’s ability, from beginner to expert, and anything from freeride to big air, and even freestyle. They also stock a range of wing foiling wings and foil boards, along with stand-up paddle boards and wetsuits. Their passionate water-sports family promote enjoyment and safety on the water, by providing the latest and best watersports equipment, for all conditions and abilities.
The Watersports Centre History
The Watersports Centre is owned and run by father and son Tim and George Dufty. Tim Dufty is owner and senior kitesurfing instructor of Hampshire Kitesurfing Centre along with his wife Sarah. Hampshire Kitesurfing Centre has been running kitesurfing and SUP lessons since 2004, now in its 18th year of business with rave reviews. In 2014 Hampshire Kitesurfing Centre became a recognised BKSA kite school.
George Dufty is 4 times (and reigning) BKSA/BKC British Pro Freestyle kitesurfing champion and former world U20’s champion. George is also a fully qualified advanced kitesurfing coach. His kitesurfing coaching business, George Dufty Coaching, run advanced kitesurf tuition both in the UK and abroad for those wishing to push their limits. This includes those who also compete in the BKSA/BKC British Championships including junior pro’s and men’s and women’s amateur ranks.
Over time Hampshire Kitesurfing Centre and George Dufty Coaching have cemented relationships with a number of kite, paddleboard, wing and general watersports brands. They have secured dealership status for kites; Liquid Force, Best, Ozone, Cabrinha and Airush – and for kiteboards with Liquid Force, Best, Shinn & Cabrinha.
Hampshire Kitesurfing Centre have used and supplied paddleboard brands BIC, JP-Australia and Fanatic paddleboards for many years. In addition to this, they have many years of experience and testing with personal equipment such as wetsuits, wetsuits boots, wetsuit gloves, harnesses, impact vests, buoyancy aids, safety helmets.
