Great taster session

Day 1 BKSA Kitesurfing Course

£150.00

This is your introduction to the fastest growing sport of the 21st century. Your first day course provides all the fundamentals of kite flying. We will take you through launching and landing, pre-flight checks, water relaunching, water safety packdown and body dragging through the shallow water pools at Hill Head. At the end of your one day kitesurfing lesson you will no doubt be eager to come back for a second day (Day 2) where we introduce the kiteboard.

The day one course is a great intro into the sport. We run this course as a group so you will have up to two people with one instructor. The initial intro will be on land flying a trainer kite where we will brief you on safety, talk about wind/weather and explain what we will be doing during your course. The gear used on this course will be the latest and most high end beginner equipment on the market. We take pride in the fact that we use the best gear so we aim to teach you all of the basics carefully, not only for you to learn the correct way but so we don’t damage any of our lovely new gear .

We have changing rooms to change in the warm and dry and provide all of the equipment you will need for your course. We suggest bringing a towel, a pair of swimshorts/swimsuit for under your wetsuit, a bottle of water and a snack.Whilst all our lessons are designed for clients with no previous watersports experience, the level you reach on this course will be be dependant on a number of factors.

The weather and your fitness/ability/past experience all play a big part in your learning curve. We try to make the lessons as fun as possible but our sole aim is to make you comfortable and safe. Everyone learns in a different way so our experienced instructors will adapt our teaching style to suit you. Some people are extremely nervous and rightly so, as after all this is an extreme sport, so for these new kiters we take it slow and keep it simple to help you unlock your true kiting potential.

Others clients maybe hardcore to the max! So if you are an extreme sports fanatic we will set out challenges that will get you motivated and able to realise the ultimate awesomeness of Kitesurfing. After you have booked your course we will meet you at the prearranged time at Breezes cafe, Hill Head. Opposite we have some beach huts in a private boat yard where we can get changed and gear up.

Your instructors will be in Hampshire Kitesurfing hooded tops and T-shirts so will be easy to spot. Please call or email for more info on your Day one Kitesurfing course. The majority of this course is based in the water so we provide 5mm winter wetsuits and wetsuit boots to help keep you warm. We will do all we can to keep you nice and warm in the colder months and run lessons 363 days a year.

Please be aware that these goals are what we aim to achieve, sometimes, due to different peoples progression rates we will achieve more, and sometimes less. It is important to learn things in the correct and safest way possible and in some cases that may mean spending extra time on certain things.
