About usOur Kitesurfing school was setup in 2008 under the name 'The Southampton Kitesurfing Centre' after a year of trading we decided to move our setup a few miles east which was now under a Portsmouth postcode so we decided a name change was in order to 'The Hampshire Kitesurfing Centre'. We had a fantastic year in 2008 and have expanded year on year since and we now have a team of BKSA and IKO qualified instructors that love to teach (and love to ride after work!).
Our centre is our vans and our affiliated shop, we meet at the beach for lessons at Hill Head, Salterns park. Here we have a public toilet block and a shower to rinse off after your lesson. We choose to buy new Kites and boards every year as we feel it's what we would want if we were learning again, so for your lesson you will be using the latest and most up to date kites and boards on the market from the leading brands.
We pride ourselves on offering a friendly and comfortable experience, although you will be getting talked through technical wind, weather and equipment theory and practical it will be delivered by a friendly instructor who enjoys their job and wants you to progress.
